If you’re driving across the Ohio River Bridge into Illinois the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be making changes to reduce speeds on the Ohio River “Cairo” Bridge,
The bridge carries Highway 51, Highway 60 and Highway 62 between Ballard County and Cairo.
As of 7 this morning crews are placing traffic lane markers and is posted at 20 mph Motorists should expect temporary, alternating lane closures for about 5 hours.
The work is necessary to safeguard the bridge and the traveling public until a repair project can be completed.
