A reported threat at Union City Middle School today was deemed a hoax by local law enforcement and school officials.
School Communications Director Mike Hutchens said Union City administration was informed of the possible coming malicious deception on Thursday.
Officers orchestrated a thorough examination of all buildings when the fake threat came today via an unknown IP address.
Director of Schools Wes Kennedy assured all students, parents, and school stakeholders that the threat was indeed a hoax and there was no legitimate threat.
