The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that manager Oliver Marmol will be back with the team for 2025, along with President of Baseball Operations, John Mozeliak.

The 55 year old Mozeliak will serve his final year helping the Cardinals trim some of their payroll and long-term contracts with trades.

The goal for the club is to now focus on their young core of players, with the possibility of moving Nolan Arenado, Sonny Gray, Wilson Contreras and Ryan Helsley.

Chaim Bloom, the former General Manager for the Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox, will oversee every level of player development in 2025, then take over at President of Baseball Operations for Mozeliak in 2026.

The teams is not expected to pick up the club options for pitchers Lance Lynn and Kyle Gibson, but do have interests in retaining Paul Goldschmidt, Andrew Kittredge and Keynan Middleton.

The 37 year old Goldschmidt will be a free agent, and is open to a return to St. Louis.
