UT Martin football safety Oshae Baker was named Big South-OVC Defensive Player of the Week after an impressive performance against Kennesaw State.
Baker ranked among team leaders with six tackles while his 63-yard interception return for a touchdown gave the Skyhawks a lead on the way to the program’s second win over a FBS program.
He helped a defense which limited the Owls to just six offensive points and 215 yards of total offense.
Baker and the Skyhawks return to action this weekend with a Big South-OVC matchup against Gardner-Webb for Homecoming on Saturday.
