Extended periods of dry weather have allowed area farmers the opportunity to harvest both corn and soybeans.
Fulton County Agriculture Extension Agent Ben Rudy gave Thunderbolt News some harvest numbers for the last week of September.(AUDIO)

With farmers now having combines stopped due to rainfall in the area, Rudy was asked about a possible end to this season’s harvest.(AUDIO)
Time in the fields may be halted, as current forecasts into the weekend indicates daily chances of rain and thunderstorms from 30 to 80 percent.
