Paducah police continue to investigate a double fatality motorcycle accident that occurred on I-24.
Police reports said the Saturday afternoon crash claimed the lives of 40 year old Brian Bledsoe, of Benton, and 41 year old Amanda Stokes, of Calvert City.
Witnesses told officers the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and struck a median cable barrier at the 6.4-mile marker.
The witnesses said there were no other vehicles involved in the crash, which killed both Bledsoe and Ms. Stokes at the scene.
The Paducah police Collision Reconstruction Team and detectives are continuing their investigation.
