The Obion County Commission voted to accept the resignation of a board member on Monday.
County Mayor Steve Carr made the announcement at the monthly meeting.(AUDIO)
Mayor Carr then explained the procedure to fill the open seat.(AUDIO)
The open commission seat is for the Hornbeak, Samburg and Cloverdale district.
Due to the resignation, County Commissioners also approved Shane Sanford to replace Pitts on the Budget Committee and Regional Planning Committee.
