
A Union City man is facing charges in Obion County and Fulton County following an investigation into a stolen propane tank.
36 year old Corey Espeland, of Wade Wiley Road, was taken into custody, after deputies from both departments located him hiding behind a vehicle on the property.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office said an initial investigation occurred in the Cayce community on July 24th, following the attempted theft of a 500 gallon propane tank.
On September 9th, it was discovered the tank had been stolen and Espeland was identified as a suspect.
At the Wade Wiley Road location, deputies located the stolen tank on a trailer, with Obion County deputies locating additional items stolen from out of state.
Espeland was taken into custody in Obion County County on numerous charges, with a Class D felony charge of theft issued in Fulton County.
