The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory that includes Northwest Tennessee.
The advisory period has been set from 9:00 Thursday morning until 1:00 on Friday morning.
Forecasters say sustained northeast winds of 20-to-25 miles per hour will include gusts up to 40-miles-per-hour.
The advisory area also includes portions of East Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.
The high winds are in conjunction with the path of former hurricane Francine in the Gulf of Mexico.
