After a thrilling victory Thursday, the Westview Lady Chargers picked up a win in Shelby County on Saturday 3-0 defeating Lakeland Prep, a 2023 state soccer tournament qualifier.
The Lady Chargers shot efficiency was a season best with 47% on target that resulted in three goals on the afternoon. Westview (7-31) jumped on the board first when senior Marianne Moore found the back of the net seven minutes in from 25 yards away.
That would be the only score of the 1st half Westview 1-0.
In the second, sophomore Alaina Uselton scored on a wide open run to extend the lead. The final score of the match came in the final two minutes with junior Hayden Markowski fired a laser from 18 yards out.
This was the fourth shutout by the Westview defense.
Westview will head to McKenzie Tuesday for their first region game of the season, before heading to the Smokey Mountain Cup in Gatlinburg on Friday.
