The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to relocate a parkway lighting structure located on the Purchase Parkway in Fulton this Thursday morning, August 29 which will result in brief delays and lane closures from 7 to 9 a.m.
KYTC will block both southbound lanes of the parkway for 30 to 45 minutes beginning around 7 a.m. while a large crane and other pieces of equipment are used to take down a large lighting tower located alongside the parkway.
Once the structure is taken down, it will be relocated to the other side of the parkway. A brief blockage of northbound traffic is possible while equipment is moved. KYTC then plans to reopen all lanes of the parkway, but will then block the off ramp to KY 51 while installing the lighting tower in its new location.
