Obion County 6th Grade Teacher Enrolled in Aerospace Education Class

This past summer was a thrilling one for 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Heather Graves, as she embarked on an aerospace journey that took her above and beyond.

Mrs. Graves enrolled in an Aerospace Education class offered by Middle Tennessee State University, leading her to apply for and get accepted into the universities College of Graduate Studies for a specialized workshop.

The unique experience earned her three graduate credit hours and the opportunity to pilot a flight training Diamond DA40 airplane.

Celebrating its legacy since 1962, the Tennessee Aerospace Education Workshop holds the title as the longest running aviation teacher workshop in the USA.

This past Saturday, Heather took to the skies for her discovery flight.
