The Graves County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man involved in the theft of wire from a hotel under construction in Mayfield.
Sheriff Jon Hayden said video surveillance from the scene of the theft, and from a gas station in Benton, has identified the man as 45 year old Dennis Abbott Jr., of Whitehouse, Tennessee.
The theft of wire at the construction site took place around 4:00 in the morning on August 12th, and was valued at approximately $80,000.
Sheriff Hayden said Abbott frequents the I-65 corridor in Tennessee and Kentucky and has a criminal history of theft and other offenses.
Arrest warrants have been issued on charges that include theft over $10,000.
