Just one day after starting for the Los Angeles Rams, former Dresden and UT-Martin quarterback Dresser Winn was waived by the team.
Winn was the starting quarterback in the Rams 17-15 loss to the Houston Texans.
The loss came in the final pre-season game for both teams.
Winn played the entire game at quarterback, connecting on 9-of-16 passes for 72 yards, while also rushing for 20 yards on three carries.
Winn was one of 10 players waived by the Rams, with two players released.
The former Mr. Tennessee Football award winner was with the Rams practice squad last season, and may return to that role if not picked up by another team.
