Memphis Man Charged for Threats Against President Biden

United States Attorney Kevin G. Ritz announced that a Memphis-area man has been charged with making threats against President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Barack Obama.

On July 27, Kyl Alton Hall, 37, made numerous posts on the social media platform X. Specifically, in the posts, he threatened to kill, assassinate, shoot, and crash the plane of President Biden; assassinate Vice President Harris; and assassinate former President Obama.

A federal indictment charged Hall with two counts of threats to a sitting President and Vice President in and one count of a threat to a former President. Each charge carries a potential penalty of up to five years in prison.
