The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning and Heat Advisory for Friday.
Forecasters say the Excessive Heat Warning includes the counties of Lake, Obion and Dyer, with a Heat Advisory including Weakley, Henry, Gibson and Carroll County.
On Friday, heat index values could range from 109 to 112 degrees.
Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
