Two Charged With Theft from T.J. Maxx Store in Union City

Two people from Union City have been charged with theft from T.J.Maxx, located on West Reelfoot Avenue.

Police reports said an officer responded to the business, following the discovery of shoplifting that occurred between July 9th and July 21st.

Police were informed the business loss prevention investigator had been notified of suspicious activity after reviewing cameras and receipts.

Store officials concluded 24 year old Sereneity Diamond Canada and 47 year old Sheneita Lavon Simpson had given away almost $1,600 in merchandise.

Police reports said Ms. Canada had given away multiple items valued at almost $1,100, while Ms. Simpson had given away items valued at $500.

The police report said both gave written statements to store personnel.
