Major League Baseball is coming to Tennessee.
Governor Bill Lee announced the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves will play a regular season game in Bristol on August 2nd of 2025.
The MLB Speedway Classic will take place at the Bristol Motor Speedway, and will mark the first time in history that an American or National League game has been played in Tennessee.
Governor Lee said he was excited to make the announcement, saying baseball was an American brand that belonged in Tennessee.
Plans now call for a Major League field to be constructed at the Bristol Motor Speedway, which is one of the largest sporting venues in the world.
