When Henry County voters go to the polls this Thursday morning they’ll be selecting a new county mayor.
Republican Randy Geiger and Independent Tim Wirgau are hoping to fill the remaining two years of the term of former Mayor John Penn Ridgeway, who accepted a position as President of TCAT.
The Henry County Republican Party chose Geiger to be its county mayor candidate in March. Geiger attended West Point and served in the U.S. Army.
Geiger also served as a GOP representative on the Henry County Election Commission.
Wirgau served four years as a Henry County Commissioner and as a Republican Representative for District 75 in the state House from 2010 to 2018.
Henry County polls will open at seven Thursday morning.
