Paducah police are continuing an investigation into a double fatality accident on Monday afternoon.

Police reports said officers were called to Lone Oak Road and Jack Paxton Drive, where a tow truck had struck a passenger car.

The preliminary investigation showed a 2005 Toyota car driven by 82 year old Susan Lepisto, of Gilbertsville, had turned into the path of a 2016 Kenworth tow truck.

Ms. Lepisto and her passenger, 83 year old Carl Lepisto, were taken to a Paducah hospital where they both died from their injuries.

The driver of the tow truck, Robert Grant of Paducah, was not injured.

A Collision Reconstruction Team is now investigating the accident.
