Today is the first of three days of tax exempt sales on back-to-school items in Tennessee.
The annual sales tax holiday continues through Sunday, with nearly ten-percent savings on qualifying clothing, school supplies and computers.
During this three day period, clothing and school supplies are tax exempt if priced $100 or less, with computers tax exempt if priced at $1,500 or less.
Qualifying items may be purchased online and in stores.
Governor Bill Lee has offered his appreciation to the General Assembly for providing the tax relief, and encouraged all families to take advantage of the back-to-school savings.
