UT-Martin Students and Graduates Participating in “Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant”

Six of the 35 contestants in the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant are students or graduates of UT-Martin.

The pageant begins tonight and continues through Saturday at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson.

The winner of the pageant will qualify for the Miss Volunteer America Pageant, which will take place in June of 2025 in Jackson.

The winner of this week’s Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant will serve as the Governor’s spokesperson for character education and will receive $25,000 in scholarship money.

Included in this week’s pageant is Maleia Bigham, of Turtletown, who is the “Miss UT-Martin Volunteer”, and Sierra Smith, of Newland, North Carolina, who is the “Miss Weakley County Volunteer”.
