Arrest Made in Shooting of Tennessee Highway Patrol Officer

An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting of a Tennessee State Trooper.

29 year old Braze Cooper was arrested in Princeton, Kentucky early Sunday morning.

Cooper is charged with Criminal Responsibility of Facilitation of a Felony in connection with the shooting of Trooper Adam Cothron on Friday night in Putnam County.

Officer Cothron had made a traffic stop on I-40 near the Burgess Falls exit, and during interaction with two black males, he was shot.

Trooper Cothron was flown to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville and was listed in stable condition.

A $20,000 reward is also being offered for the individual operating the white Kia Forte that was involved in the traffic stop.
