A former Greenfield High student has filed a lawsuit against the Weakley County School Board accusing them of “extreme prejudice and insecurity towards persons with disabilities.”

Kennedy Shea Lee suffers from postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome along with a functional neurological disorder.

Ms. Lee says the school isolated her from her other classmates.

According to the lawsuit Ms. Lee is seeking to show that Weakley County Schools violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and the 14th Amendment.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory damages and other damages

Thunderbolt Radio reached out to the Salonus Firm of Jackson who represents Ms. Lee along with Gilbert Law of Chattanooga, but they have yet to return our phone call.

The Weakley County Board of Education attorney Sam Jackson of Spencer Fane said the School Board has no comment at this time.
