Union City police continue their investigation into a shooting that occurred last Friday morning.

Reports said Union City police and Obion County deputies responded to 503 Nash Street and a call of shots fired.

At the scene, officers found 31 year old Brandon Morrow lying in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was later airlifted to Regional One Trauma Center in Memphis.

An investigation at the scene revealed Morrow and 39 year old Skylard Beard were involved in an altercation.

The investigation with Beard and witnesses indicated a gun was produced during the argument, with both struggling for the weapon.

During the struggle, approximately four rounds were discharged striking Morrow.

Police reports said after contacting District Attorney Collin Johnson, a decision was made to not charge Beard at this time, but to continue the investigation until completion.
