A home explosion in Obion County on Monday morning resulted in one fatality and one injury.
The Obion County Sheriff’s Office reported the explosion at 3499 Jim Carver Road claimed the life of 55 year old Paula McGuire.
Her husband, 54 year old Daryl McGuire, was airlifted to Regional One in Memphis for his injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation following the explosion just before 6:30.
The incident was ruled as accidental, due to an apparent propane leak at a ventless heater.
An investigation indicated Ms. McGuire was lighting a candle Monday morning when the explosion occurred.
