After a small delay, Eminem has dropped the video for his latest track ‘Tobey’ directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett, and featuring Big Sean & Babytron. The video marks Eminem and Cole Bennett’s fourth collab together in the last four years.
Em posted on his socials: “Back with @_ColeBennett_ 4 the #Tobey video @BigSean @_babytron – out now!! No goats were harmed making this video. http://shop.eminem.com”
The video for “Tobey” features Eminem returning to his childhood home (which was famously used for The Marshall Mathers LP’s album cover) and resurrects Em’s Slim Shady look with a Jason Voorhees-style hockey mask and chainsaw.
Em’s highly anticipated album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) – the follow-up to 2020’s Music to Be Murdered By – is set to drop on Friday, July 12th. Tobey marks the second single off the upcoming LP, following the hit track “Houdini” which dropped last month. “Houdini” debuted at number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
