A Texas man was killed in a one vehicle accident in Obion County on Thursday morning.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 61 year old Roberto Aguilar died in the crash that occurred around 3:00.
The accident happened at the 12.2 mile marker of Highway U.S. 51 between Troy and Union City.
The Highway Patrol preliminary report stated Aguilar was operating a 2010 Peterbilt 387 tractor-trailer truck when it struck a bridge guardrail.
The truck then overturned into the creek and burned.
Northbound traffic was detoured for several hours due to an investigation into possible damage to the bridge, and the removal of the truck from the creek.
