The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch that includes Western Kentucky.
Forecasters also say scattered strong to severe storms are expected this afternoon and evening that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and tornadoes.
The remnants of tropical system Beryl will bring heavy rain to much of the region, with locations in the Flood Watch seeing generally two to four inches of rain, with locally higher amounts up to six inches possible.
The Flood Watch includes the counties of Fulton, Hickman, Graves and McCracken.
