Union City school board members met Wednesday morning to finalize the new operating budget.
During a meeting at the School Board office, Assistant Director of Schools Michael Paul Miller presented the proposed operating plan of approximately $23.6 million dollars.
Board members voted 4-0 to accept the budget.
Following the meeting, Miller explained the new financial plan, which begins on July 1st.(AUDIO)
In advance of the new school year, Miller also said work on the school campus is continuing.(AUDIO)
Students return to the classroom in the Union City system on August 8th.
