A traffic stop by Union City police results in multiple charges against a Union City man.

Police reports said a stop was made on Everett Boulevard on a vehicle operated by 33 year old Charlie Craig Taylor.

During the traffic stop, the officer requested a consent to search the vehicle with Taylor denying the request.

A K-9 Unit was then called to the scene, and gave a positive alert on the passenger side door.

Police reports said a probable cause search then yielded eight grams of methamphetamine, ten grams of marijuana and a 45-milimeter rifle with two magazines.

Taylor was taken into custody on charges of possession of schedule two and six drugs and drug paraphernalia, along with possession of a firearm during possession of methamphetamine.

Police seized the truck due to the amount of methamphetamine.
