Entry forms are now being accepted for the Tennessee Top Soybean Yield Contest.

Weakley County Agriculture and County Director Bronson Bass said entries must be submitted to him by September 1st.

The contest is to recognize producers who grow high yielding soybeans, while also gathering data on production practices.

The contest is divided into the two categories of Irrigated Production and Non-Irrigated Production.

Winners will be awarded in each of the five state districts, with the district winners automatically competing for the Top Bean State Yield Champion.

Any producer who farms 10 continuous acres or more of soybeans is eligible to enter.

Cash prizes will be awarded in the district and state category.
