Heat Advisory Issued for West Tennessee and Western Kentucky

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the Ken-Tenn area on Tuesday.

Forecasters say heat index values could be as high as 107-degrees, which could cause heat related illness to those exposed for a period of time.

The Heat Advisory will be in place from 11:00 until 8:00.

Counties included in West Tennessee are Lake, Obion, Weakley, Dyer, Carroll Gibson and Henry.

In Western Kentucky, Fulton, Hickman, Carlisle, Graves, McCracken and Calloway County are in the warned area.

Anyone outdoors for an extended period of time on Tuesday should drink plenty of fluids, wear light colored, loose fitting clothing and take periodic breaks in the shade or indoors.
