A Dyer County man was arrested following an assault at a Union City wedding party.
Union City police were called just before 11:00 on Saturday night to a disturbance The Historic Ann’s Wedding and Event Venue on East Main Street.
At the location, officers were informed that 35 year old Christopher Wayne Farley, of Dyersburg, had assaulted 33 year old Zachary L. Hardy, of South Fulton.
Witnesses said Farley had punched Hardy in the face, then stomped his face after he fell to the ground.
The police report said Hardy was sent to Regional One Hospital in Memphis for surgery on a broken jaw.
Farley was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault and taken to the Obion County Jail.
