The Summer Season Arrives on Thursday

Wednesday is the last day of spring, as the summer season arrives on June 20th.

Summer Solstice will officially occur at 3:51 on Thursday afternoon.

The summer season annually begins when the Earth arrives at the point in its orbit, where the North Pole is at its maximum tilt toward the Sun.

When this occurs, it results in the longest day and shortest night of the calendar year.

Calendar reports indicate the local area will see approximately 14 hours and 41 minutes on Thursday.

After arriving on Thursday, the summer season will be in place until September 22nd, when fall officially arrives.
