A Fulton County Fish and Wildlife officer has been presented a national award.
Officer Greg Youree was named the Southeastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agency “Officer of the Year”.
Officer Youree received the national award for his service to his fellow officers and his community work for the agency’s Law Enforcement Division.
He has more than 21 years of service, and nearly 34 total years as a law enforcement officer.
Youree was instrumental in the development of a new public boat ramp in the Hickman Harbor and has partnered with the Fulton County Extension Office to teach preparedness for adults and youth in boating and hunting.
Officer Youree is a native of Hickman and a Fulton County High School graduate.
