Kiwanias Free Fishing Day Derby Brings Out Kids!

Ninety children turned out for the Free Fishing Day at the Martin and Parks Recreation Complex Saturday.   Sponsored by the Martin Kiwanis Club eighty-one fish were weighed in and the longest fish overall 18 ½ inches  …the heaviest fish was 4 lb 2 oz and 24 fish were over a pound.

Ten Kiwanis helpers were on hand to help children have a good day. They included  Steve Lemond, Sara Sieber, Mary Morgan,  Linda Ramsey, David Sudberry, Ann Gathers, Jayne Parrish, Earl Wright, Anna Clark, Jim Clark.  Also two from Martin Parks and Recreation lead the event and measuring and weighing fish who were  Adam Reddick and Louie Rechis.
