Main Street-Union City has again been designated as an accredited Main Street America Program.
Main Street America annually announces a list of designated programs, who have made commitments to preservation based economic development and community revitalization thru the Main Street approach.
In 2023, the downtown area of Union City welcomed seven new businesses, while also holding six community events.
Main Street-Union City Executive Director Katie Graves said acceptance as an accredited program was vital to securing needed grants and other opportunities for the community.
Included in the recent accomplishments of Main Street-Union City was the announcement of a $300,000 Downtown Improvement Grant to update exterior facades.
