Going into this last day of May, the State of Tennessee is seeing a decrease in traffic related deaths.
Information from the Department of Safety and Homeland Security shows 431 traffic related fatalities this year.
This number is down almost 18-percent from the same time last year, when 523 fatalities were recorded.
Statistics for the first five months show 101 senior drivers have died in accidents, along with 56 teenage drivers.
The report indicated 50 pedestrian fatalities have occurred this year, with 56 deaths from motorcycle accident and four from ATV accidents.
