Union City Police Investigating Stolen Handgun from Vehicle

A Union City man reported a firearm stolen during a vehicle burglary on Sunday.

Police reports said 24 year old Colton Payton told officers someone took a Springfield Hellcat .9-milimeter pistol from his truck.

Payton said the gun was taken from the console of the truck on West Cheatham Street.

The police report said the firearm also had a Wasp Reflex sight attachment with a total value of approximately $900.

The serial number was provided, with the stolen weapon entered into the National Crime Information Center.
