Gibson Electric Membership Corporation’s crews have continued to work to restore power to their members over the Memorial holiday weekend.
Gibson Electric has been receiving help from other systems and as of late Monday afternoon they were still working to restore electricty to some 237 members who remain without electricity and 53 outages trouble spots .
Approximately more than 5,000 members and businesses lost power following Sunday storms that moved across the region.
Sixty-eight broken poles and downed lines caused major problems to restore power.
Line workers and various other utility employees worked to clear trees and other debris before repairs could be made to the electric grid.
