A strong passing severe thunderstorm in Union City on Sunday morning caused damage on Reelfoot Avenue and Green Acres Mobile Home Park.
Obion County Emergency Management Director Danny Jowers said the storm system was packing winds estimated at 60-to-70 miles per hour.
The National Weather Service did issue a Tornado Warning for Obion and Lake County on Sunday morning.
Motorists are urged to use caution if driving in the local area, due to multiple trees, limbs and power lines that are down.
Current forecasts indicate a second wave of severe thunderstorms are expected to move through the area late this evening.
