A strong earthquake was recorded in northwest Tennessee early Thursday morning.
The Center for Earthquake Information said a 3.8 earthquake occurred just before 3:30 in northern Dyer County.
The tremor was centered four miles south of Ridgely near the Lake and Obion County lines.
Reports said the earthquake was felt by individuals in Missouri, Kentucky and Illinois.
Following the 3.8 report today, an aftershock tremor of 1.7 was recorded at 3:35 and a 2.0 tremor occurred at 3:40.
A 2.3 earthquake was also recorded in almost the same location on Tuesday morning.
