Union City Council members were given a recent update from the owners of East Gate Village Apartments on North Street.
Marvin Frank Thomas of Memphis, the presiding Bishop of the First Episcopal District of the CME Church, spoke to Council members about the property.(AUDIO)
Thomas said the inability to secure funding for the property had led to a decision going forward.(AUDIO)
Mayor Terry Hailey told Thomas they were surprised at a recent survey conducted by HUD.(AUDIO)
Council members were informed that several families recently displaced at East Gate due to construction had now returned.
