At Monday night’s Martin City Board meeting members passed a second reading on the 2018 International Building Code that brings the City into compliance. The 2018 Code is the latest available and mandates all housing, plumbing, electrical, fire codes and others that provide for municipalities to comply with the new 2018 code.
Martin Mayor Randy Brundige told Thunderbolt Radio said the city board will preview the new budget soon, which has no tax increase for the upcoming fiscal year. The budget will be approximately 20 million dollars to run the City.
Mayor Brundige also said the budget will be balanced at the June 10th .
And Martin city fathers also passed a first reading on two zonings. One on Parrish Road off Highway 45 North from B-1 also known as business to R-1 also known residential. A second zoning request near the Gardner Community is to be rezoned R-3 which is for high density residential use. The two zonings require another hearing.
And the City accepted the audit report from CRS- CPAs with only two findings, one for travel and one for travel policy.
