A 21-state coalition has filed a lawsuit to stop a new Biden Administration rule preventing law abiding citizens from buying and selling firearms.
The expansive rule requires anyone who sells a firearm for anything the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives sees as a profit, to obtain a federal firearms dealer license.
The regulation could criminalize a person who sells a firearm to a family member, or a hunter who trades a firearm with another hunting companion.
The state Attorney Generals, including those from Kentucky and Tennessee, say the rule is unconstitutional because it is vague, violates the Second Amendment and circumvents Congress.
