An early morning storm just outside the city limits in Hickman caused damage and power outages.
Just after 7:00, the Gibson Electric Membership Corporation had two power poles snapped, with a tree downing power lines for the Hickman Electric System.
Along with the power system damage on Highway 94, was a metal roof and barn damage on Roper School Road, with trees still over the roadway.
The storm also moved into the Clinton area, with some damage reported.
The Gibson Electric Membership Corporation reported 1,177 homes and businesses without power following the storm.
