A Union City man was arrested on kidnapping charges after forcing his girlfriend to stay in a car while he worked.
Union City police reports said 24 year old Tyler J. Delbo was charged after an anonymous caller stated the victim remained in the vehicle while he worked at ICI on East Reelfoot Avenue.
When police arrived at the location last Thursday, the victim was asleep in the back seat, with a strong odor of marijuana in the vehicle.
Police reports said the marijuana smell came from Delbo smoking in the vehicle on his breaks, with the victim stating her stay in the vehicle was due to his trust issues.
At the worksite, police detained Delbo, who confessed to telling the victim she could not stay at home while he worked.
He was taken into custody on the kidnapping charge, along with possession of drug paraphernalia.
