The 43rd National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
The event will take place at Emmitsburg, Maryland and will feature a tribute to 89 firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2023, along with 137 other firefighters who died in previous years.
Included in the tribute is eleven fallen Tennessee firefighters.
Three of the Tennessee firefighters, 69 year old Lt. Rick Miller of the Henderson County Fire Department, 51 year old firefighter Jeffrey Norman, of the Memphis Fire Department, and 27 year old Lt. Roy Sewell of the North Tazewell Volunteer Fire Department, died in the line of duty in 2023.
