Two Western Kentucky counties have been selected for project development funding.
Governor Andy Beshear announced sites in Fulton County and Hickman County will receive funding from the Kentucky Product Development Initiative.
The Fulton County Fiscal Court, on behalf of the Hickman-Fulton County Riverport Authority, was approved for $500,000 in state funding for a $4.1 million dollar project.
The funds will support replacement of a conveyor system, along with related upgrades at the riverport.
The Hickman County Fiscal Court, in partnership with the Hickman County Industrial Development Authority, will invest $182,000 into the development of a site at Enterprise Park.
The project was approved for $91,000 in state support.
